Google+ consumer personal accounts will be shutting down on 2 April 2019

In December 2018, Google announced to shut down Google+ for consumers due to low usage and a huge task to maintain it. Google+ is a successful product of Google and it was majorly used for sharing content and ideas. Since it was noticed that the people were not much interacted on it as compared to Facebook and Twitter.

Due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining the product, Google decided to close the service for consumer (personal) account in April 2019.

After 2 April any Google+ pages which were created will be deleted, so before this period you can download and save your content.

If you’re a G Suite customer, Google+ for your G Suite account should remain active.
